Both male and female candidates are eligible for admission in the G.N.M. course. The ratio of female-male will be 80:20. The minimum education:
10+2class passed or its equivalent preferably with science (physics, chemistry and biology) from Board of Secondary Education, Uttarakhand or equivalent with aggregate of 40% marks.
Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
ANM training i.e. 10+1 ½ years training should also have passed +2 or its equivalent Examination
The candidates should know Hindi (Devanagri script).
The selection will be made by a Selection Committee in the office of Medical Education Government of Uttarakhand, Dehradun, by advertising the seats sanctioned to various government & private schools after counseling for merit/payment seats
Admission will be done as per norms laid down by the INC/SNC/Govt. of Uttarakhand.
Student shall be medically fit
Age on Admission: Minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively on or before 31 st December of the year.
Uniforms:The candidates admitted for training are bound to use the uniform prescribed to them by the institution at their own expenses
Enrolment/RegistrationAt the time of admission to the said course, the candidate will have to pay the prescribed fee to get her/him enrolled/Registered in the Nursing Council of the State (UNMC) and submit copies of all the certificates as required by UNMC.
Council/Board ExaminationThe Uttarakhand State Medical Faculty will take examination. Candidates for admission to UNMC/Board Examination shall be required to attend their regular course of study. Candidates should have attended at least 75% of the total number of lectures delivered and practical done in each subject However the total clinical / field experience prescribed must be completed before the final council /Board examinations and before the issue of diploma. The Uttarakhand State Medical Faculty will take yearly exam. After completion of 3 years course, the Uttarakhand State Medical Faculty will award Diploma Certificate of GNM course to successful candidates.
DisciplineAll the students will have to strictly abide by the rules and regulations framed by the College & School and the Hostel as enforced from time to time. Any violation will be strictly dealt with. Managing Director/Governing Council reserves the right to rusticate students found indulging in acts prejudicial to the interest of the Institute or involved in gross indiscipline or immoral act.
